This unique offering combines culinary artistry with theatrical charm, making it the perfect indulgence for this time-honoured tradition. Guests will enjoy an array of delectable savoury sandwiches, cakes, and cocktails, inspired by iconic plays such as Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Moulin Rouge.

Traditional Afternoon Tea elements are creatively named after theatre tropes. Act I features delights such as the Stagehands’ Sausage Roll, Hamlet’s Harissa, and The Green Room, accompanied by our favourite Showstopper Scones during a fragrant unlimited tea intermission. Act II unveils decadent sweet treats like the Tutu Tartlet with white chocolate ganache, the Curtain Call of red velvet mascarpone mousseline, and the Baritone’s Delight of dark chocolate delice with espresso cream. Playful, interactive, and Instagrammable, this Afternoon Tea is ideal as a pre-theatre treat or a fun outing with friends and family.
Available daily from 12pm to 5pm at Haxells at Strand Palace, the experience is priced at £49 per person on weekdays and £55 per person on weekends. Popular vegan and kids' menus are also available. Stay tuned for our upcoming Snow Palace Afternoon Tea, featuring a live ballerina on weekends, debuting this Christmas.
